Cobble Hill 10k Race Guide
Race Guide: The 2024 Cobble Hill 10k features a new, flatter course than in years previous. Now even faster than ever, this course is the site of the BC Athletics Provincial 10k Championships!
The second race in the Vancouver Island Race Series, the Cobble Hill 10k is hosted by the CEEVACS Roadrunners club. Founded in 1980, CEEVACS Roadrunners are a triathlon/running club and non-profit society based out of Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island.
Even before the course changed, the Cobble Hill 10k was a fast race. The men’s and women’s winning times from the course in 2023 were 30:47 by Solen Wood and 37:17 by Collette Reimer, respectively. Now, with the removal of 3 uphills and the portion running through the town Cobble Bay, it promises to be even faster!
The location of the race start is located ~45min north from downtown Victoria, between the towns of Mill Bay and Cobble Hill.The startline, Mill Bay Nature School, is just down the road from the race package pickup and post race event venue, George Bonner School. Parking is available at George Bonner school.

Our Experience
We chatted with Frontrunners employee Batuhan Kaya about his thoughts on the 2024 Cobble Hill 10k:
The new course at Cobble Hill still comes with a good amount of elevation for a 10k! I personally like the 2x 180 degree turns as it allows to see my allies are for the race.
My recommendation for this course is that to take it relaxed till the first turnaround and the start building your pace until 5km. Hold it there till the end of the race where you can run strong downhill to this finish before a small upwards kick to cross the line.
I love this course as it’s always changing and engaging. Make sure to fuel before and after maybe even in the middle if you feel like it!
